Why am I getting a Shadow Volume Protection warning?

This warning is displayed when Vista's inbuilt shadow imaging feature is on. This Windows feature allows the user to revert files back to a previous version.

When you defrag your hard-disk, these shadow copies are lost. If you do not need to revert to any previous version of your files, it is safe to go ahead with the defrag.
