How do I perform a clean reinstallation of Uniblue programs?

Many issues related to applications can be solved by performing a clean reinstallation. Below is a step-by-step procedure to cleanly uninstall and reinstall a Uniblue program.

To uninstall old version

1. Please make sure the program is closed. If the program icon is in the system-tray, right click on its icon and choose Exit.
2. From the Start menu, normally available on the bottom left of the screen, select Control Panel.
3. From the Control Panel select Programs and Features (in Windows XP this is called Add or Remove programs).
4. Locate the entry for the Uniblue program in the list of installed applications.
5. Click once on this entry and then click on Remove or Uninstall. This will start the wizard to uninstall the program.

To delete any remaining application data

1. From the Start menu select and click Run.
2. Type in the following: %appdata%
3. A Window with several folders should pop-up. Double-click on the Uniblue folder and delete any content within.  
4. From the Start menu, select and click Run again.
5. This time type in the following: %programfiles%
6. Find the Uniblue folder and delete the sub-folder within it for the program you have just uninstalled.

To download and install new version

1. Go to the following link:
   http://www.uniblue.com/support/downloads/
2. When the page has loaded, click on the appropriate Download now button. .
3. Before the download starts, you will be given the option to save the download file. Click Save and, depending on the browser you are using, you may be asked to choose a location where to save the file (for example on the Desktop.
4. Locate the .exe file and double click on its icon to start the installation wizard.
