This usually happens because the detected spyware might be resident in one of the Windows restore points or else your SpyEraser might not have the latest definitions. To check if you have the latest definitions please open SpyEraser and click on the Update Now button then if you do not have the latest definitions it will update accordingly.
To scan your PC with Windows system restore disabled please follow the steps below:
1 Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2 In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
3 Click to select the Turn off System Restore check box.
4 Click OK.
5 Click Yes to confirm that you want to turn off System Restore:
To run in safe mode please follow this procedure.
1 Reboot the PC.
2 Before it starts booting press the F8 key on your keyboard.
3 A menu is displayed, select the first option "Safe Mode"
4 Once you select safe mode the pc will boot into a different mode
5 please try and run the required tests.
6 Once you reboot the pc will automatically load in the usual mode.
After the process ends you may want to turn on system restore again, please follow the steps below:
1 Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
2 In the System Properties dialog box, click the System Restore tab.
3 Click to clear the Turn off System Restore check box.
4 Click OK.
