Support for SpeedUpMyPC3

The CPU optimization section shows a red cross. Why?

The CPU optimization counter will remain with a red cross until it's features are executed. The SpeedUpMyPC Optimization scan will cover memory and Internet optimization methods, by automatically selecting the options which it see's best to fit. The scan will also suggest a list of files for removal during the 'file cleanup' and 'privacy protector' scans.

In order to perform the CPU optimizations you need to go to the menu bar at the top of the 'SpeedUpMyPC' first screen. Go to the 'Optimization' menu, and then to the CPU section of the menu. Click on 'launch application browser'. The Application Browser will display a list of processes and applications with their current CPU usage. It is suggested that you do not change any process which you cannot account for, however processes such as 'IEXPLORE.EXE' which is Internet Explorer, as clearly marked by the Internet Explorer can be changed in priority to a more appropriate setting. For example if you feel that browsing is not fast enough, increasing the CPU priority of IEXPLORE.EXE using the CPU Booster would make browsing faster. In a similar way other processes can be increased to improve their performance. If you set all available processes to the maximum however you would defeat the object of prioritization which works best if you only increase priorities to those applications you use most often.
