CeBIT 2010 was a great success for Uniblue
added on 22nd March 2010In early March the team from Uniblue attended CeBIT in Hannover, Germany. CeBIT is the world's largest IT and Technology exhibition and is an annual event attended by thousands of people worldwide - this year it was held from 2-6 March. Over 4,000 companies from 68 countries exhibited this year, and we were there to meet several of our partners and suppliers.
Now our software titles are available in 12 languages, CeBIT is the ideal event to meet global players in the technology field.
We flew from Malta to Munich and then caught a connecting flight to Hannover, which was packed with delegates attending the event. On arrival in Hannover the weather was much colder than the mild spring in Malta! We reached the Messe (exhibition ground) by a seemingly full to capacity train from Hannover Central Station, a journey of some ten minutes. During CeBIT, the ticket cost for the train service is included in the entry fee for the event. There were thousands of people making their way to the exhibition’s west entrance, which is accessed via a “skywalk” from the Messe station. Entering through Hall 13, we made our way through three huge exhibition halls before arriving at the conference centre – the venue for our first meeting. All in all, there are 23 exhibition halls plus several other pavilions and a wide range of restaurants, coffee shops and snack bars.
Over the course of the two days we spent there, we held meetings to discuss our software with our German distributors, key European software sites, computer magazines from the UK, Germany, Scandinavia and The Netherlands and other software companies. It was great to catch up with our contacts and tell them about Uniblue’s plans for the rest of 2010. Currently, we are going through an exciting period of growth at Uniblue, as the multi-language editions of our products are opening up new markets for us worldwide. We thought that CeBIT was well worth attending and we’ll be back there next year.
